Update Part 1

From the ministry perspective things are rolling along.

We are looking at expanding our Home Group ministry by three (maybe four) so far, and two of the leaders are guys that have come out of one of my groups.

Established Groups Continue:Monday night our 11-14 boys are meeting for floor hockey. The Care group is still operating and growing all the time. Both of our Women Encouraging Women groups are going ahead. We still have our prayer groups meeting and the last I heard our "Boundaries" Book study group is moving ahead on schedule.

New Groups Begin: Pastor Jim had been participating in one of my groups but is looking at starting a group out of his home. His daughter Rachel and her cousing Wes have been serious looking a beginning a Youth Home Group for the 14-18 crowd. In fact I just met with them today. A friend by the name of Jason is looking at taking the material from my Bible Reading class and tackling a Bible Study group, and another friend, Chris (and his wife Erin), are in the beginnings of stepping forward to facilitate a course studying the concepts of Commitment and Communication in marriage. This is exciting!!

For myself I am continuing with my study on the Foundations of Christian Doctrine. We are starting this section with study the person and work of the Holy Spirit. I think that this is a focii that is often overlooked in much of our daily faith. I was looking at restarting my "How to Read the Bible" group but I don't know if the numbers are there. So some work needs to be done.
