We've Got a Road!

So a lot has happened in the past month. We do not have to drive through the ditch to get onto our property (an approach has been built), and we do not have to drive down & through the bottom of a seasonal creek bed in order to come up to the house (a road has been added). This was a lot of work ... but we did it! Pretty much it was just a lot of dirt moving that Jeff did in a big loader - Jeff has really become an expert in using these big machines :D

We have also got the last 2 windows into the house. Electrical wire is now being pulled. Insulation is now being put in. The drywall has been delivered. The big hole in the back of the property has been filled in. Piles of clay and topsoil have been placed around the yard to contour and landscape with. The propane line has been run. Power line has been run from the transformer to the house (still waiting on SaskPower to come and bring power from the road to the transformer).

So lots have been going on. And amongst all this, we were able to fit in a much-needed camping trip with friends. We all loved it!

I am sure I've missed some things but this is what comes to mind. We are definitely learning a lot and getting more and more excited about moving in to our home.
